Winemaking: The Champagne L‘Assemblage by Voirin-Jumel is the result of a harmonious blend of two great Champagne grape varieties: Pinot Noir (61%) and Chardonnay (39%). This cuvée is an ode to the art of blending, an essential element of the Champenoise tradition, in which terroir, vintage and grape varieties combine to create a wine of great expressiveness and refinement. The grapes come from two distinct and complementary terroirs: Chardonnay is grown both on the clay soils of the Vallée de la Marne, which give it a broader, rounder structure, and on the chalky soils of the Cote des Blanes, which lend finesse and a distinct minerality; Pinot Noir, instead, grows on the clay soils of the village of Verneuil in the Vallée de la Marne, bringing structure, aromatic depth and a touch of gourmandism. The vintage base is 2021, enriched with 40% réserve perpétuelle, a method that guarantees stylistic continuity and aromatic complexity, adding depth and character to the wine.
Tasting note: L’Assemblage has a brilliant golden colour, marked by a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose, it reveals a complex and refined bouquet: crisp red fruits, ripe citrus fruits, floral notes and delicate hints of sweet spices. On the palate, the enveloping structure of the Pinot Noir balances perfectly with the freshness and elegance of the Chardonnay, creating a symphony of flavours culminating in a long, harmonious and slightly savoury finish. Versatile and refined, LAssemblage is offered to be universally appreciated, capable of winning over both lovers of more structured Champagne and those who prefer elegance and freshness.Should be served in an ice bucket at a temperature of 5-7°.
