Nero d’Avola (Red white) Leonarda Tardi 2021

ALIKASE wine hails from the ancient lands of Salaparuta and the simple lives of local farmers. Its name means “By the Houses”: a place where people gathered at sunset to share wine, food, and stories. This authentic Nero d’Avola wine was created to take pride of place on the table.

Alcohol: 13,5%

Determination of the origin of products: Salaparuta DOC, Southwest Sicily, Salaparuta (Trapani), Cusumano area.

Harvest: Hand-picked with grape selection, first week of September. Balanced and fresh, with gradual ripening.

Winemaking: Fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature (15–17 °C). 5 months on fine lees with bâtonnage, followed by 2 months in the bottle. No oak aging.

Tasting notes: Deep ruby-red color. Aroma: ripe red fruits, cherries, and light spicy notes. On the palate, the wine is soft and round, with delicate tannins and a balanced finish.

Pairings: Perfect with any dish; pairs wonderfully with:

• grilled meats

• pasta with ragù

• aged cheeses

• smoked meats

It also pairs excellently with smoked meats and delicious pasta dishes with sauce. Serving temperature: 16–18 °C
