Winemaking: The Champagne ‘Les Carelles’ by Voirin-Jumel is an exclusive Blane de Noirs grown in the same-name Lieu-Dit, on a vineyard of approximately 0.7 hectares planted with Pinot Noir in 1968 on the lower slopes of Mareuil-sur-Ay. Thanks to its South/South-West exposure, the grapes benefit from optimal ripening, fully expressing the richness of the terroir. The loamy, clayey and sandy soil, located close to the banks of the Marne, gives the wine a distinctive character and a deep mineral imprint. This vineyard has a strong historical value for the Domaine, having originally been acquired by Paulette Jumel, the second generation of the family. Today, ‘Les Carelles' is an identity wine, an authentic expression of its terroir, reflecting its purity and personality in an unmistakable manner.

The harvest base is 2020, enriched by a precious 45% réserve perpétuelle, a method that guarantees stylistic continuity and aromatic complexity, enhancing the wine's depth and evolution. The final dosage of 5 g/l - making it a Brut - provides a perfect balance between freshness and roundness, preserving the authenticity of the terroir and the elegance of the cuvée.

Tasting note: ‘Les Carelles’ stands out for its intense aromatic profile, dominated by red and black fruits, typical of the Pinot Noir grown in this area. On the palate, it surprises with its citrus freshness, its natural elegance and its characteristic mineral savouriness, perfectly balanced by a refined and enveloping structure. A Blane de Noirs that embodies the authentic soul of its terroir with finesse and balance, designed for those in search of a pure, identifiable and vibrant Champagne, capable of conveying the essence of Mareuil-sur-Ay, sip after sip.

Should be served in an ice bucket at a temperature of 5-7°.
